I grew up in Las Vegas, but I had never been to the Wetlands. The Clark County Wetlands is the largest park in Clark County and is teeming with over 300 of plants and animals.
It's lush in the way you wouldn't expect the desert to be and I was surprised at how humid it felt while I was there on one of the hottest and driest days over the Vegas summer. One of the best surprises was a desert hare who hopped by me. She was too quick for me to grab a picture, but that spirit will always remain with me.
